Savethelastdance waltzes to success in the Weatherbys Digital Solutions Cheshire Oaks

Ryan Moore's mount demolished her rivals by 22 lengths, despite being held up and running in snatches throughout the contest.

A daughter of generational stallion Galileo out of the talented mare Daddys Lil Darling, the Coolmore-owned filly put in a sensational performance to give trainer Aidan O'Brien a record eighth win in the Listed Cheshire Oaks.

Strongly backed into 8-11 favouritism, Savethelastdance was held up at the back of the field for most of the race, but when asked by Ryan Moore to quicken she did so in fine style, surging past her rivals on the home bend and lengthening impressively in the home straight.

The success saw her quickly cut into a general 7/4 for the Oaks at Epsom, hoping to emulate Enable who landed both races in 2017.
